We are a fun, outgoing couple who began full-timing in Jan of 2018. We travel in the warmer months and head south in the colder months. We are very familiar with camping, campgrounds and RV Parks and the generally accepted rules and operation of each. We have both held private employment and workamping positions that have given us significant experience. Joby is also a US Army veteran. With our experience and abilities, we would be a welcome addition to your workamping staff. We do not smoke or drink, we don't use foul language, we keep our area neat and clean, and our only pets fiona is a small, quiet and very friendly Boston Terrier and Nunie is a 11yr old mature staffordshire terrier.. We are the type of folks that will pick up trash and take it to the trash can even in parks we aren't working at, and when we are assigned a job to do, we do it right the first time. A part-time/full-time position in which we can assist the management and guests so that everyone has an enjoyable and memorable time, including us! We are looking for a position for the winter season in warmer climates including Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Lousianna, Texas, Arizona. We can do most tasks with the exception of heavy lifting. We prefer to work the same shift if both of us are needed. At a minimum, we require water and electric hook ups, and sewer and Wi-Fi is nice to have if available. We also need to be where there is adequate T-Mobile cell phone coverage (or strong Wi-Fi if no cell service).
We have experience being a camp host, extensive experience with computers, web site creation and hosting, office duties, guest relations, public speaking, housekeeping, clerical duties, retail sales, retail management, household management, house sitting, pet care, security, vehicle maintenance, groundskeeping, basic construction, basic plumbing/electrical.small engine maintenance. Equipment operator etc..
June 2018 - Present: Camp Host/Volunteer for a 100 site RV/ primitive campground, including boat ramp, fishing pier, beach and picnic grounds. 5 Miles of hiking trails and 16 miles of MTB trails. We take care of all ground maintenance, basic plumbing and electrical, security,reservations and walk in reservations, cleaning all sites, site building, tree removal. Position is 24/7 from May 1 to Nov 1. Only host.
